Click on the map and you'll see our route(red), compared to the the route we took with Cristina earlier(yellow). As you can see, much is the same way. A lot of this has to do with the fact that, especially in the South Island, roads are few and give you very limited choice. We did drive these in opposite directions though, so it all felt very fresh nonetheless.
